Due to some environmental factors, the nitro finish aged more quickly than usual and began to yellow and check. This was a less than pleasant turn of events, so I’m doing a complete re-finish, and will be using a 2k acrylic urethane clear coat this time instead of nitrocellulose lacquer.
Nitro stripped. a very messy job.
Blue dye sanded off, and the top re-bleached. This took a lot of the black out of the figure as well
So the black dye was then reapplied
and then sanded back again for figure enhancement.
