If you didnt read the whole guitar build thread, the short version is that I built this guitar in memory of my son Chris. I was honored that this guitar won the “Guitar of the Year” contest for 2017 on projectguitar.com. The inlays on the back of the body closely replicate the tattoo’s he had on his chest and shoulder, and the fretboard and headstock inlays are smaller, more abstracted versions of them as well. The tattoo’s are visible in the photo.
Well, here it is all finished. Its been a journey in more ways than one.
